01 · QUANTUM BAYESIANISM

What is QBism?

Quantum theory, considered from the perspective of the person using it.

A state is an expectation.

QBism, short for Quantum Bayesianism, treats a quantum state as an agent’s personal probability assignments. These concern the experiences the agent expects when acting on the external world.

A measurement is an intervention; its outcome is the agent’s resulting experience. Learning an outcome changes the expectations they assign to later actions.

A shared world, personal judgments.

Different agents can assign different states. They can compare reports and revise expectations. A quantum state is therefore not an inventory of properties an object already possesses. This describes the QBist interpretation, rather than a consensus across all interpretations.

THE PROJECT’S LANGUAGE

On this site, “QBistic physicality” introduces a literary passage toward the New Eon of Cubistic Movement (NEo-CUbikM). That phrase belongs to ÅĊ’s creative framing; it is not a term established by the physics paper.
